An attempt to watch the meteor shower at Broga

Another little crazy fun adventure with the Nutters, a night camping at Broga (again) and this time with an attempt to watch the meteor shower (predicted) on last Friday night. The hike also has actually made me witnessed a strong little girl climbed together with us. (One of our friend brought her daughter this time).

At 10pm ++, 13 of us marched towards Broga Hill with the head lamp and our backpack behind. On the way up, there were several young campers scattered around, waiting with their camera and telescope in hand, hoping to witness the meteor and perhaps to take some good photo.

Reaching at the peak we start setting up our tents while others making hot drinks. Earlier, there was some cloudy covering the sky but later the stars slowly appear and brighten the sky. We spent the night chitchatting, selfieing, photographing, stargazing, drinking coffee and napping, most of us decided to stay outside the tentsSome of us was fortunate enough to spot the meteor shower. We were rewarded with an amazing view and peaceful night until a bunch of hikers start climbing up as early as 5am, making noise and put us back into reality.

By 7am, the crowded is over flowing, we quickly pack and start heading down. While walking down, my eyes was offered with an amazing view from such a low hill. Lush valleys of rain forest and towns with the backdrop of mountains from the distance can be seen vibrantly.

Reaching at the carpark,  while the rest decided to go home, the four of us ready and gear up heading to Lepoh falls to continue the next adventure.

2009, I Finally ...

Another 1 and half hour to the count down of 2010.. after years, I decided there will be no routine celebration like previous years, instead I choose to spend the evening with my family.

Later, we had to cancel our booking for dinner at the nearby restaurant because my mum wasn't feeling well and my sister volunteer to prepare the chicken soup for our dinner tonight.

I'm sitting at the living room facing and watching my son who's busy playing PSP. My eyes mingling across the living room and saw my dad enjoying himself watching the Indiana Jones show.

I smiled widely, thinking about what I had decided.. what's on my mind for the last a few days ago. It's gonna be hard and I'm struggling thinking where to start and how to tell them.. telling them that I'll be leaving soon and not sure how long it will take. But I need it badly.. its now or never..

Most people often thinking about new resolution or new plan or new dream every year but often half way they gave up. so, I decided to stop thinking and just do it!! I need to travel.. and I need to travel alone this time...

Hiking, Trekking, Abseiling, Picnic

1/ May/2014

A day at Sungai Pisang (Banana river)

I wasn't planning on going out today, but a phone call and invitation from a friend yesterday mentioned waterfall, so I was in. Sungai Pisang is not far, so I thought why not jump in and drag my son together, this way we both will get a chance to spend quality time and doing activity together. Beside, it would put him closer to the nature and hopefully he'll be interested in outdoor activities rather than investing his time facing all the gadgets in his room which most of the time annoyed me.

Since its a labor day and a world public holiday, so I went packing the necessary stuff and told my son to get his things ready. The next thing, we were hitting the road as early as 6am. We gather at the nearest petrol station along the Gombak highway, refill for breakfast before proceed our journey..
